Sometimes simple is best

It goes without saying that Italians love there food, but it does not always need to be elaborate dishes, one of the simplest dishes is also one of the most popular.

 

Spaghetti al Caviale

Pasta tossed in butter with liberal sprinklings of caviar. 

This simple caviar pasta dish brings out the buttery rich, salty flavours of our caviar pearls.

Quick and easy to make this dish is perfect for that quick caviar fix or your next dinner party.  

 

All you need is

200 grams spaghetti or pasta of your choice
1 50-gram tin of Aristocrat Royal Oscietra
30 grams of Salted butter
Sea salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to season

 

Cooking instructions

Bring pan of water to the boil and add a little salt

Cook the pasta according to package instructions (about 10 to 12 minutes).

While the pasta is cooking melt the butter

When the pasta is al dente (firm), drain it, saving some of the cooking water. 

Place the pasta back in the pan, add the melted butter, and toss.

Season it with black pepper to taste, and add a little of cooking water to loosen, and make a creamy sauce.

Toss the pasta one more time, and top with ample mounds of caviar.

Serve immediately with a refreshing glass of Autréau Extra Brut Premier Cru Champagne
